Scale Architecture has designed a new kitchen for Glenn Murcutt’s recently restored Ockens House. With reference to Glenn’s original drawings, we reinterpreted the design to suit the clients new brief for the space. More photos to come.

A small project in Bronte being well used over the summer break. The Shou sugi ban (burnt cedar) cladding has weathered to a lovely silvery black. We love revisiting our projects and seeing how the clients inhabit the spaces.

Matt Chan joined with Tim O’Sullivan from Multiplicity to talk about recent projects in Hobart as a part of the Brickworks ‘Double Talk’ Series. Matt’s talk focused the progression from the practice’s inception in the Netherlands in 2002 to the future ambitions of the office.

Our second terrace project on Gipps Street is almost complete. The project inserts a joinery block to re-define the entrance, kitchen and living spaces.

Our new Bexley Oval amenities buildings are starting to take shape. Due for completion before the 2019 cricket season starts, we are really looking forward to seeing the finishing touches.

We are super happy to announce that Justin has been awarded the Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship to study at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design! He will be moving to Cambridge in August to join the Master of Architecture in Urban Design program. We couldn’t be prouder and wish him the best of luck!
