Prime Minister’s Lodge Competition Canberra

Scale has released its entry for the Prime Minister’s Lodge competition. The building responds to Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahoney’s vision for Canberra, drawing upon relationships between monumental architecture and the landscape.

Ockens House Restoration

Scale is currently involved in the restoration of the Ockens House, a home designed by renowned Australian architect Glenn Murcutt in 1978. The proposed works to the Ockens House intend to restore this unique home to its original design intent. Long Courtyard House complete

Long Courtyard House has recently been completed and photographed by Brett Boardman. The house is a contemporary addition to a turn-of-the-century terrace house, and is built around the idea that each new space should relate to a garden.

NSW Architecture Awards Jurors Announced

Matt Chan has been selected as one of the jurors for the upcoming 2013 NSW Architecture Awards. He will be a member of the jury for the Small Projects and Heritage Architecture Awards. The awards will be announced in June.

Scale Architecture have been featured in the Mexican art, architecture and design magazine Código. Titled ‘Vanguard at the Edge of the World: The Australian Scene’, the article discusses Australia’s innovative creative culture. We appear alongside our friends at LAVA, and a range of local artists and designers.

National Museum of Afghanistan

Scale Architecture was shortlisted for the National Museum of Afghanistan. We completed the design with Silvester Fuller, Nathan Etherington and Stringa Pty. Ltd.

Filling in the Gaps Talk
